The Private Joke
After her mother died, Ashley has no other choice but to move in with
his father and her half-brother, James. She’s wondering whether she will
survive in New York City, and his brother’s ill-treatment is not
helping her to cope up.
On her first night in the city, he left
her alone in the parking lot to party with his friends. Worried and
scared, she decides to follow him to the pub, intending to convince him
to drive her home first. Ashley is completely clueless about what is
going to happen next. James is nowhere to be seen and she finds herself
in serious trouble.
The next morning, she wakes up and finds
herself in an unfamiliar bedroom. Allen, who happens to be her brother’s
best friend brought her home last night. The thing is, he is known to
be a womanizer and loves bringing home different women for a one-night
stand.
But he is really good at winning a girl’s heart and she is
starting to doubt if he really is in love with her or just playing
another private joke with her very fragile heart. How will she keep
herself away from Allen’s eagle eyes yet she is starting to fall for
this mad guy as the time goes on?
