There was one rule: no matter what, don’t fall in love with your client.
Chelsea Diggins was thrilled that working for Michael Brown was getting her exactly what she needed: financial freedom and flexibility. Thanks to her new job, she didn’t have to worry about running out of money to cover her mother’s medical expenses or sacrifice the things she wanted just to get by. It was almost too good to be true, really. He paid her to look beautiful, attend social gatherings with him, and, as a bonus, she gets to live in his mansion!
What wasn’t to love? Sure, at first, she was less than thrilled to have to rub elbows with the upper class--from her experience, most wealthy people were snobby, rude, and standoffish. Even Michael had seemed that way to her at first. But the more Chelsea spends time with him, the more she sees that there is more to him than meets the eye. Michael had allowed her to escape her past and boldly live the life she always wanted. His only rule was that she couldn’t fall in love with him. Which, when Chelsea thought about it, was silly. Of course, she couldn’t fall in love with him. As the days pass and they spend more time together in and out of bed, Chelsea finds that her mind often lingers on him, and, more than anything, she finds herself thinking about what really being with a man like Michael Brown would be like.
Could these growing feelings in her heart be love?
