Cabin by the Shore
After going through Christian's things, Sophie is shocked to find a box of letters from Rachel Byrnes, her sister who is supposed to be dead. The letters span many years, and in some of them Rachel refers to Christian as her son.
Sickened by the thought that’s she slept with her nephew, Sophie goes for a walk into town and runs into Randall, one of Anthony’s associates. Randall is searching for Rachel and is insistent that Sophie knows where she is; he even puts his hands on her and threatens her. Christian swoops in just in time to snag her away, and when they’re back at the cabin she unloads on him.
He admits that he knew Sophie and Rachel were related but he didn’t know how to broach the subject. He reveals that he is not Rachel's biological son; rather, he is the child she rescued from the streets. All of these facts stun Sophie, and then Christian drops the biggest bomb of all; Rachel is dead.
