The bar was full when she walked in. It was a Saturday.
Sandy
saw him at the same moment that he saw her. It was the way he was
dressed that made her notice him. He was wearing a light-blue
long-sleeved button-down shirt, and even though he had the top three
buttons opened, he still looked uncomfortable and out of place among the
other men in the bar. Sandy was intrigued by him.
Their eyes met, and neither of them looked away.
It took him a short time to get to her side. She felt him slide in beside her.
"Hi, can I join you?" Ben said softly.
"What do you want from me?"
