Falling into a Second Chance
Chris Lowell was her first big crush. And he had crushed her.
Agatha Lovely stopped believing in love at eighteen. During the last week of high school, at eight on a Monday morning. Since that moment, there has been a protective shell around her heart that no man has penetrated. Agatha has been fine without. As the last Lovely over twenty-one still single, she has settled into her role as unpredictable and dependable. An odd combination, but that was Agatha in a nutshell.
Her life is now going perfect; she is making money doing what she loves and spends time with her family when she wants. And sometimes when she doesn’t.
That is until her perfect bubble bursts when Chris Lowell buys the house across from her to flip. No longer is he the star of the high school football field. Nor was he somewhere in the world playing professional football. No matter where he is now, she knows what she needs to do - avoid him. Until she seems to be the only one who can save him from being killed by his ineptness.
Soon she realizes he doesn’t remember her from high school. Her, Agatha Christy Lovely next to Christopher Lowell, lockers, desks, alphabetically, was she that forgettable? How can he not remember 8 am on the last Monday of their school days?
